The solar eclipse will take place on 12 August 2026. From the Tabernas Desert (Almería), it will begin at 19:37 and reach its peak at 20:32, with the sun partially eclipsed very close to the horizon at sunset. It will be a very advanced partial eclipse, one of the most spectacular astronomical events of the decade in Spain.

Viewed from Spain, it will be a well-advanced partial eclipse. The sun will appear largely obscured by the moon at sunset, creating a spectacular sight over the horizon of the Tabernas Desert.
The 2026 Perseid meteor shower (the ‘Tears of Saint Lawrence’) peaks on the night of 12–13 August, with up to 100 meteors per hour under optimal conditions. The best time for viewing is in the early hours of the morning, from the skies above the Tabernas Desert, which enjoys over 300 clear nights a year and very low light pollution.

Overnight stay is optional depending on the package chosen. Tickets for dinner only are valid until midnight.
Yes. You can choose from three options: Dinner only (no overnight stay), Tent (you bring your own; designated area, toilets and security) or Motorhome (area with no electrical hook-up or water supply). Options including an overnight stay include an optional sunrise breakfast (at an extra charge: €10) and full access to the park the following day. Campsites must be cleared by 9.30 am.
